Galvanized poultry netting is woven wire fabric made from rust-resistant zinc-coated steel wire. Poultry netting is mainly used for farmers and gardeners to protect livestock and crops, as enclosures for poultry and small animals, garden fencing, and plant support.

18 BWG Galvanized Hexagonal Poultry Netting

Wire diameter applied for galvanized poultry net:

  • 18 BWG (1.02 mm): For large enclosures containing adult chickens or foxes.
  • 19 BWG (0.91 mm): For rabbits, ducks, and young chickens.
  • 20 BWG (0.81 mm): For smaller animal enclosures, garden fencing and flexible applications.
  • 21 BWG (0.71 mm): For temporary fencing or plant protection.
  • 22 BWG (0.61 mm): For very small animal enclosures or light type uses.

Choose thick wire for heavy duty uses and thin wire for light duty uses.

Mesh Opening

Standard mesh openings range from 3/8 inch (10 mm) to 4 inches (100 mm). Small opening poultry mesh is suitable for securing chicks or rabbits, big opening poultry mesh is for adult chickens or garden fencing.

Selvedge wire or edge wire of poultry mesh is commonly thicker than mesh wire, providing additional strength and making wire netting easier to handle and install.

Hexagonal hole mesh weaving pattern offers superior strength and flexibility compared to other wire mesh types, allowing wire netting to absorb pressure while maintaining shape.

Edge Reinforcement
