Hexagonal Rockfall Netting Galfan Coated for Slope Protection

Hexagonal Hole Woven Wire Rockfall Netting offers an effective drapery for stabilizing slopes and preventing rockfalls. The twist woven steel wire hexagonal mesh material can provide exceptional strength and flexibility in securing loose rocks and debris.


Application: Hexagonal woven rockfall mesh is mainly used in slope stabilization, for enhancing the safety and stability of roads, railways and other infrastructure construction projects.

Wire Specifications

Tensile Strength:

  • Range: 380 – 550 N/mm²
  • Purpose: Increases the tensile resistance of the final product beyond EN 10223-3 suggestions.
  • Tolerances: Comply with EN 10218 (Class T1).

Elongation:

  • Minimum Requirement: Not less than 10% as per EN 10223-3.
  • Testing: Conducted on a sample at least 25 cm in length.

Galfan Coating:

  • Minimum Quantities: Meets EN 10244-2 (Class A) standards.
  • Adhesion: Galfan coating must not flake or crack after being wrapped six turns around a mandrel with four times the wire diameter, as per EN 10223-3.

Polymer Coating

Standard: EN 10245-2 standards for technical characteristics and aging resistance.

  • Specific Weight: 1.30-1.35 kg/dm³ (ISO 1183).
  • Hardness: 50-60 Shore D (ISO 868).
  • Tensile Strength: Greater than 21 N/mm² (ISO 527).
  • Elongation at Break: At least 200% (ISO 527).
  • Color: Grey (RAL 7037).
  • UV Stabilized: Provides enhanced resistance to UV degradation.
  • Aging Test: Passed accelerated aging test in SO2 (28 cycles) according to EN ISO 6988.
